The 4-Gallon Countertop is perfect for single or a small family that consumes approx 5 gallons or less. The top filter tank holds 1 gallon, while the bottom storage tank holds 3 gallons. The unit is cylindrical in shape and stands about 22 inches in height and 13 inches in diameter. The unit could be used without the base which would make it shorter, decreasing the height down to 16 inches.

The unit comes with a complete set of filters: Micro-Ceramic Filter; 5-Stage Mineral Filter Cartridge; and Mineral Stones. This model measures approx 25 inches in height and 13 inches in diameter. If used without the base, the unit measures 19 inches in height. Magnetized tap is an optional feature in this model.

8-Stage Filtration System

	Stage 1: Micro-Ceramic Filter Dome This filter made of highly compressed ceramic with diatomic properties. The surface of the dome consists of millions of pores that measure 0.2 to 0.5 micron in diameter, while most bacteria is 0.5 to 1.0 microns in size. The ceramic filter dome sits in the top tank. When contaminated water is poured in the filter, it will trap dirt, debris, contaminants and most bacteria before the water passes to the “clean” side of the filter and down into the 5-Stage Mineral Filter Cartridge for further filtration and purification.
	Stage 2: Silver Impregnated Granulated Activated Carbon Activated carbon is extremely effective in the removal of chlorine, bad tastes and odors, radon, solvents, pesticides and herbicides, volatile organic chemicals and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water. Our activated carbon is impregnated with silver to disinfect and inhibit the growth of bacteria in the water filter system. Carbon has been used for hundreds of years and is considered one of the oldest means of water purification. Ancient Egyptians have used carbon to sanitize both air and water. The carbon is treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms and is activated with a positive charge to attract negatively charged water contaminants. Stage 3: Ionic-Exchange Resin Ionic-Exchange resin softens hard water by replacing magnesium and calcium ions found in hard water with sodium ions. The ionic-exchange resin purifies the water by removing toxin and heavy metal (e.g. lead or cadmium) ions and replacing with more innocuous ions such as sodium and potassium. 	Stage 7: Mineral Stones After the water trickles through the 5-Stage Mineral Filter Cartridge, it is stored in the bottom tank for consumption. The filtered and purified water is stored along with the mineral stones case which contains over 40 different types of inorganic minerals to infuse water with a balanced dose of essential minerals including calcium, manganese, potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. The mineral stones can be used with or without the case. If used without the case, the mineral stones can be scattered at the bottom of the tank.
	Stage 8: Magnetic Spigot The water flows through a magnetic tap as it gets dispensed from the unit. “Magnetized water is claimed to be energy-building, activating, cleansing and detoxifying.
